CIUDAD JUAREZ – The Municipality of Ciudad Juarez together with Fideicomisos Instituidos en Relación con la Agricultura (FIRA) will offer soft credits to producers involved in the food industry, through the program “Del Campo al Plato”.
Fundings go from US$52,641 to US$26 million, explained Armando Cabada Alvídrez, mayor of Ciudad Juarez.
On the other hand, the FIRA agent, Bernaldino Perdomo, explained that said trust is a federal one, whose main objective is to contribute to the development of the Mexican countryside, through financial services, which are granted through commercial banking.
“We are still open to primary activity, livestock and agriculture, but in Ciudad Juárez we want to reach out to sectors that are here in the entity, such as industries that are somehow involved with the agricultural sector,” he explained.
The companies that will be supported are those that are directly or indirectly involved in the food sector, and need working capital, infrastructure, machinery, equipment, among others.
