Ford to manufacture hybrid vehicle in its Hermosillo plant

Ford announced that it is going to manufacture a new hybrid vehicle at its plant in Hermosillo, Sonora, especially designed to be used by law enforcement corporations and fire fighters. These vehicles will feature lithium batteries that can be plugged to the electric grid, as well as having a gasoline engine, thus offering a range of up to 800 kilometers per fuel tank. Through a press release issued by this Company, representatives mentioned that this technological innovation focuses on addressing the needs of US security corporations and government offices alike, as this car will have capacity to keep driving for up to 33 kilometers after running out of gasoline, thanks to the power reserves of its batteries.
