HERMOSILLO – The Ford plant in Hermosillo, Sonora, will stop production from May 3rd to 17th in its two shifts, due to a shortage of components.
Details of the Ford work stoppage were revealed by Reuters, which was shared among Ford’s union members.
According to the union, its employees will be paid 75% of their wages during the stoppage of activities at the plant. However, it did not specify which items are involved.
It is worth mentioning that the global and local automotive industry has been affected in its operations due to the global semiconductor shortage that started in late 2020.
