CASA GRANDE, AZ – FrameTec, a manufacturer of building components and building framing services, has announced plans to build a truss and wall panel manufacturing plant in Casa Grande, Arizona.
The new plant will consist of two buildings and the first phase of construction will begin in the summer of 2024. The first plant is expected to be operational in 2026, followed by the second in 2027, and will create more than 400 new jobs in total.
With a $150 million investment, FrameTec’s Casa Grande facility will be built on 30 acres at the northeast corner of Thornton Road and Ash Avenue, totaling 254,000 square feet (127,000 square feet in each of the two buildings), doubling its manufacturing capacity compared to its first facility in Camp Verde.
Once operational, the Casa Grande facility will have the capacity to manufacture wood roof and floor trusses and interior and exterior wall panels, as well as to distribute lumber and building materials for the construction of 6,000 to 7,000 homes per year.
In addition, FrameTec’s Casa Grande facility will have the capacity to build the framing components for 25 homes (averaging 2,000 square feet each) per day, and each home can be built on-site in approximately two days.
“Given our housing shortage in Arizona and across the United States, the building construction industry has not been able to keep up with demand and continues to fall behind. FrameTec is adding significant capacity and innovation to the construction industry while providing homebuilders and general contractors with a ‘one-stop shop’ as a turnkey framing provider,” said Kyle Brock, CEO of FrameTec.
The Casa Grande plant is FrameTec’s second manufacturing facility in Arizona, in addition to its headquarters in Camp Verde, which will begin operations this fall. The company plans to expand its presence, building additional facilities across the U.S. in the coming years.
