General Electric (GE) inaugurated the new facilities of its manufacturing plant, located at the “La Angostura” Industrial Park, Southern Saltillo, increasing from 6,500 to 9,700 square meters, expecting to reach the 16,000 square meters in the long term.
According to GE, US$2 million were invested in this expansion, which will generate new jobs with a 30% increase in its workforce, by going from 350 employees to more than 500 in the medium term. The complex includes near of 260 LED-lights supplied by the Start Up “Current, by GE”, allowing that the plant reaches the 100 footcandles of homogeneous illumination, the standard required for the manufacture of the product.
