Google to expand in Texas as part of its US$13 billion investment plan

AUSTIN, TX – Google recently announced that it is to expand in Texas. Through a post on the company’s website, Google explained that they are investing more than US$13 billion in the development of new offices and data centers across the United States.

The company’s major investment will allow it to hire tens of thousands of workers and create more than 10,000 new construction jobs in Texas, Virginia, Nebraska, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma and South Carolina.

“This growth will allow us to invest in the communities where we operate, while we improve the products and services that help billions of people and businesses globally. Our new data center investments, in particular, will enhance our ability to provide the fastest and most reliable services for all our users and customers,” explained Sundar Pichai, Google’s CEO, to Patch.com
