EL PASO, TX – With the support of the City of El Paso and the County of El Paso, Grupo Bafar, a leader in food production, announced plans to expand its operations in El Paso, Texas.
The City Council approved a performance-based incentive agreement for US$715,771 and the County Commissioners approved an incentive agreement for nearly US$166,000 that will help support Grupo Bafar’s nearly US$22 million investment.
The Mexican company plans to acquire and renovate the Kasco Structures building and build a new 60,000 sq. ft. cold storage warehouse. The project will create 120 new full-time jobs at a minimum wage of US$17.65 and retain 155 existing jobs in El Paso, while helping to address the challenge of food deserts.

Grupo Bafar also intends to expand its grocery store presence in Texas over the next five years, bringing even more employment opportunities to the state.
The company’s new positions will include roles in operations, maintenance, sanitation, quality control, warehouse logistics, among others. With more than 12,000 employees worldwide, Bafar Group brings decades of experience in the food industry to El Paso. The company’s continued investment in the region underscores its belief in El Paso as a center of economic opportunity.
