Hisense, a Company originally from China, is assessing Nuevo Leon as one of the options to establish a refrigerator plant, mainly to supply the U.S. market.
Leopoldo Murillo, Supply Chain Director for Hisense Mexico, explained that the Company is currently surveying this State and other places in the Bajio region as possible locations for this building; Nuevo Leon is a viable option due to its geographical location. Murillo explained that all of the local value chain is under revision to decide where the plant is going to be located, finding that it is more structured in Queretaro and Nuevo Leon. In addition, part of the analysis is focused on the transport routes Northbound and the existing connection to ports.
