
Representatives from Index Chihuahua took part in a National Board meeting of Index Nacional and a strategic working tour in McAllen to strengthen the competitiveness of Mexico’s export manufacturing industry.
During the meeting, participants held working sessions focused on key issues for the maquiladora and manufacturing sectors, including foreign trade, logistics, and global supply chains.
As part of the agenda, the delegation also met with representatives of the Council for South Texas Economic Progress to promote stronger economic collaboration between Mexico and Texas and explore new regional development opportunities.
Activities also included discussions on strategic industry topics such as foreign trade zones, updates related to the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement, and a visit to the Port of Brownsville to learn about its logistics infrastructure and potential for international trade.
The participation of the delegation is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen binational ties and enhance the competitiveness of the export manufacturing sector.
