CIUDAD JUAREZ – Several manufacturing companies have settled in the state of Chihuahua thanks to the promotion and attraction that Secretaria de Innovación y Desarrollo Económico has implemented to diversify the origin of industrial capital.
It has been prioritized the coming investment from rare regions and other continents, such as COFICAB, a Tunisian company, which invested around US$50 million to establish a plant in Ciudad Juárez. On the other hand, YFY Jupiter, an industry with Taiwanese origin capital which is dedicated to the production of packaging, was installed on the border in 2018.
Some others have expanded their investments in the state, for example, Cannon Safe, a U.S. company dedicated to the metal-mechanic sector, established a manufacturing center in the city of Chihuahua.
For its part, Automotive Lighting made an investment of more than US$218 million, generating more than 1,700 new direct jobs that will benefit families in Juarez.
