JUAREZ, CHIH – In order to strengthen training and certification in electronics manufacturing, a collaboration agreement was formalized between Index University and IPC Mexico, which seeks to benefit both students and the industry.
Present at the signing were María Teresa Delgado, national counselor representing the president of Index Juárez; the rector of the Universidad Tecnológica de Ciudad Juárez, Carlos Ortiz Villegas; Adrián Najera and César Fierro from NETSmx; Lorena Villanueva, general director of IPC Mexico; and Oscar Ibañez, representative of the Governor of the State of Chihuahua in Ciudad Juárez.
“We are promoting an ecosystem of professional technical education, where we want to develop academic programs aligned to the needs of the industry, ensuring that our students not only receive a quality education, but also that they are ready to face the challenges of the work environment,” said UTCJ Rector Carlos Ortiz Villegas.
For her part, Lorena Villanueva, director of IPC Mexico, said the company knows the potential of Juarez and Chihuahua.
“IPC seeks to form an alliance with the three helixes of the electronics industry: government, academia and business. This alliance, for IPC, is a source of pride, something that has not been done at a global level, and I am very proud that this is the first time we do it at this level and it is in Ciudad Juarez,” said Villanueva.
This agreement marks a key step in the training of future professionals in the sector, strengthening the link between industry and academia, and positioning Ciudad Juarez as a benchmark in electronics manufacturing.
