Japanese auto part maker will be installed in Nuevo Leon

The company Tokai Rika, manufacturer of devices such as seat belts and switches, announced the construction of a 15-hectare plant in the municipality of Salinas Victoria with a US$34 million investment over the next three years.

Under the name of Tokai Rika Mexico (TRMX), it is expected to begin operations in the fall of 2016. “Establishing a TRMX is part of a strategy to respond more quickly and proactively to the needs of our customers as it strengthens the business presence of Tokai Rika in North America”, stressed the company. The firm estimates that this new plant will have US$52 million sales by 2018 and US$126 million by 2020. In addition, it will generate about 200 new jobs by 2018 and 350 by 2020.
