MEXICO – John Beckham assumed as CEO of the North American Development Bank (NADBank) effective January 1, 2024, for a four-year term.
Beckham, who had served as the institution’s deputy CEO since January 2021, has a career spanning more than 20 years in senior management positions with extensive experience in finance, developing and implementing strategic business plans, promoting economic and social development by deploying capital through financial institutions, financial structuring of renewable energy projects, restructuring distressed investments, and executing equity investments in mid-market, growth and emerging market companies.
In his inauguration speech, Beckham expressed his commitment to furthering NADBank’s environmental mission and solidifying the institution as a bi-national leader in supporting the transition to a greener economy.
“I am honored to take over as CEO of NADBank and will continue to work to advance its environmental mission and solidify the institution as a binational leader in supporting the transition to a greener economy through innovative financing schemes and more robust collaborations with stakeholders,” said Beckham.
Beckham’s appointment coincides with the Board’s approval of the 2024-2028 Strategic Plan, which reaffirms the Bank’s continued focus on investing in water infrastructure to better manage this shared resource along the border and address wastewater issues, as well as reflects the growing binational priority to accelerate investment in greener mobility and the U.S. and Mexico’s commitment to move toward sustainable development through investments that promote a better quality of life for border residents.
Beckham holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Ohio State University.
