Kia just disclosed that a second compact vehicle will be manufactured at the Pesqueria plant, in Nuevo Leon, in 2017, in addition to their Forte model production, both sedan and hatchback versions. Horacio Chavez, General Director of Kia Motors Mexico, said that once the firm starts the production of the second model
, the complex will be attaining its maximum production capacity, which is 300,000 units per year. On the other hand, the company started recently exports to the U.S. and South America. These vehicles were shipped out by the port of Altamira, Tamaulipas, and the Company is considering to also export to 80 other markets, said Mr. Horacio Chavez.
