NUEVO LEÓN – During the fourth quarter of last year, the productivity of the Nuevo Leon manufacturing industry maintained its positive trend compared to the previous quarter, while the commerce sector recorded a mixed performance.
According to a report from Productividad Laboral y del Costo Unitario de la Mano de Obra for 2018’s fourth quarter from (INEGI), during this period the industrial sector registered a rise in its labor productivity index of 1.2% over the same period of 2017.
In the last five quarters, this sector has recorded a mixed performance in terms of productivity, as in the first and second quarter of 2018 reported falls of 1.9 and 1%, respectively, in relation to the same period of 2017 while in the other three quarters showed growth.
As for the labor productivity of retail commercial companies, this segment reported the worst performance, recording a setback in the last five quarters.
