Maxion expands in Coahuila

COAHUILA – Maxion Structural Components announced an investment of US$68 million that will allow it to expand its Plant 3 and generate 500 new jobs in the state of Coahuila.

The governor of Coahuila, Manolo Jiménez, congratulated the company’s directors and pointed out that the state is taking full advantage of the nearshoring phenomenon to invest or undertake in Coahuila.

Jimenez highlighted that the Central region of the state has key factors for the arrival of investments, such as skilled and specialized labor; energy, water; as well as entrepreneurs who are investing in industrial lodging; geographic location.

“The only way to achieve more opportunities for our people is by working together as a team, taking advantage of the great conditions we have as a state,” said the governor.

He also emphasized that Coahuila has the rule of law, job stability and something very important: security, a priority issue that continues to be strengthened.

Antonio Garza García, Mayor of Castaños; Sergio Sisbeles Alvarado, Undersecretary of Government in the Central Desert region, among others, were present during the presentation of the investment.
