NUEVO LAREDO, TAMPS – Medline Industries has started the construction of its new industrial plant in Nuevo Laredo, a project that represents an investment of US$250 million and will generate more than 3 thousand jobs once it starts operations.
With an area of 68,000 square meters, the new facility will allow the company to expand its production and distribution capacity of medical supplies in Mexico and globally.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held at the Finsa Oriente industrial park, in the presence of Yoagesh Wadhera, general manager of Medline, and the governor of Tamaulipas, Américo Villarreal Anaya, who highlighted the importance of this investment for the economic development of the state and its consolidation as a strategic pole for the manufacturing industry.
“The construction of this plant not only represents an expansion for Medline, but also a boost for the generation of jobs and the economic growth of Nuevo Laredo. The confidence of international companies in our region is a reflection of the favorable conditions we offer for trade and investment,” said the governor.
During the event, the Medline representative highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation and quality in the production of medical supplies, as well as its interest in continuing to collaborate with the government and the private sector to strengthen the industry in Mexico.
In addition to state and municipal authorities, the ceremony was attended by representatives of the business sector, such as the national president of INDEX, Humberto Martinez, among others, who agreed that the construction of this new plant will contribute significantly to the economic dynamism of the region, strengthening the trade relationship between Mexico and the United States.
