As part of the activities in the Mexico-Texas Business Forum, to be held in Austin, authorities from the Economic Development Department in Saltillo, Coahuila will meet representatives of a company who is interested in investing in Coahuila’s capital city to build what could be Mexico’s principal solar energy plant.
Juan Carlos Guerra, Director of Economic Development in Saltillo, assured that this company, originally from Louisiana, U.S., has already reviewed some locations in Saltillo: “They talked about a huge project … Coahuila is a good opportunity for the company, the state has excellent levels of radiation,” he said. However, the officer preferred to reserve the company´s name due to competition-related issues.
