Mexico has major potential to develop wave power technologies from its Pacific Ocean shoreline. The Finnish Company AW-Energy WaveRoller, is currently negotiating with both the Federal and Baja California’s State Government, with the aim of developing a pilot project for wave power in this State.

If this project is reified, Mexico could launch its clean technologies market and pioneer this industry in The Americas. This pilot project would attract an investment of approximately US$60 million for and it could eventually grow into a new clean energy industry throughout the Pacific.
