The Modine Maquiladora, belonging to the automotive and commercial sector, invested over US$5 million for the construction of a new state-of-the-art industrial building, in order to expand its production line.
The plant will be located at the “Dos Laredos” Industrial Park, in Nuevo Laredo Tamaulipas. It is expected to start operations by February, generating near of 215 direct jobs. Pedro Diaz Puerto, Modine’s Human Resources Manager, said that the constructions began since the second half of 2015, and it is the second investment for this region in the space of a year, resulting in a favorable outlook for the maquiladora industry in the State.
