TEMPE, AZ – Moov, the used semiconductor equipment marketplace, celebrated the opening of its new headquarters in Tempe, Arizona.
The company will occupy the entire 16th floor of the new state-of-the-art 100 Mill office space, which encompasses about 32,000 square feet. The location, will accommodate Moov’s growing workforce, which more than doubled in 2022 and is expected to grow by 50-75% in the Phoenix metro area this year, the Arizona Commerce Authority reported; the new headquarters will create 180 new jobs.
Moov management celebrated the opening alongside Governor Katie Hobbs, Tempe Mayor Corey Woods, Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) President and CEO Sandra Watson, the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC), community leaders and Moov employees.
“The opening of Moov’s new headquarters here in Tempe is the culmination of years of hard work and collaboration,” said Governor Katie Hobbs. “Moov joins a growing list of bold, forward-thinking companies that are strengthening Arizona’s economy and putting us ahead of global competition.”
“Arizona continues to do an excellent job incentivizing chipmakers to invest in building and expanding locally,” said Steven Zhou, CEO and Co-Founder, Moov. “It is vitally important that, once here, chipmakers have the infrastructure and partners they need to succeed. We see Moov as contributing substantially in this capacity by enabling manufacturers to reliably, securely and efficiently acquire current and mature semiconductor equipment, as well as recover value from surplus and idle tooling.”
As the world’s largest market for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, Moov is an intrinsic part of the burgeoning local semiconductor industry. Moov announced Tempe as the site of its new headquarters in 2022 after relocating from California in 2021.
Moov has helped local manufacturers buy and sell millions of dollars in pre-owned manufacturing equipment in the past year.
The company helps manufacturers buy and sell equipment easily and reliably to scale nimbly. In addition, Moov creates value for an ecosystem of partners. Through the aftermarket suite, the company ensures a seamless end-to-end procurement process, while offering third-party partners, such as refurbishers, logistics providers and insurers, access to global demand and expertise to better tailor their services to the semiconductor industry.
