As of July 2025, Chihuahua International Airport will have three new routes operated by the airline TAR Mexico. The new destinations are Querétaro, Los Mochis and La Paz, Baja California Sur.
The announcement was made during the Tianguis Turístico de México 2025, held in Rosarito, Baja California. According to the information presented, flights Chihuahua-Queretaro and Chihuahua-Los Mochis will be available, the latter with a technical stopover in La Paz. Tickets are already on sale through the airline’s official website.
According to Edibray Gómez, head of the Chihuahua Ministry of Tourism, the new routes are the result of months of negotiation with TAR Mexico. He also pointed out that a positive impact on the flow of visitors and economic activity in the state is expected.
The announcement was attended by airline executives, as well as representatives of the state government and Grupo Aeroportuario OMA. During the event, a symbolic inauguration ceremony was held.
