An automotive manufacturing company will become installed in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, expecting to start operations in less than one month, generating nearly 800 jobs, informed Juan Villafuerte Morales, General Secretary of the Union of Workers and Contractors of the Manufacturing Industry. The new company is already hiring workers and conducting tests to begin operations over the next weeks. According to Jesus de la Garza, Municipal President, there are at least 15 investors interested in becoming installed in Matamoros and not all of them are originally from the U.S.
