New wind companies will arrive in Matamoros

MATAMOROS – In order to attract new investments to recover growth in Matamoros, entrepreneurs seek to attract wind energy companies interested in investing in this city.

The president of Consejo Coordinador Empresarial in Matamoros, María del Carmen Cadena, announced that the business sector seeks to continue promoting Matamoros abroad, not only in the United States, but in Europe and other countries, although they are focusing on the wind sector.

“Soon we will be attending a wind energy event in Texas, we have to take advantage of this since there are in Matamoros three companies that focus on this field which should continue to be promoted,” stressed Cadena.

She indicated that new investments for Matamoros should be sought; despite the fact that the city has a bad image due to labor problems, actions to repair said damage will continue to be carried out.

She stated as well, that attracting foreign investment could take some time but she’s confident that if people in Matamoros work as a team, the city will be able to make it through this situation especially because the border city  has connectivity advantages thanks to the port and international bridges it has and that connect connect it with the Texas’ airports.
