TAMAULIPAS – The governor of Tamaulipas, Francisco Garcia Cabeza de Vaca, announced that Nordex Group, a leading transnational company in the wind energy market, confirmed the installation of a production plant for rotor blades of wind turbines in the city of Matamoros.
This is the second production plant of this type installed is in the state in less than a year.
Nordex announced that they will start operations during the spring of 2019. Once in operation, this plant will be the second of its kind to be inaugurated in less than a year; an investment never seen before in the state and that positions Nordex as one of the leaders in the wind energy industry.
“The installation of Nordex in Matamoros confirms the confidence they have in Tamaulipas and contributes to the growth of the energy sector, we endorse the commitment to be guide and support to the companies that are coming to our state,” said the governor.
The blades that will be manufactured in this plant will serve to feed the production of wind energy in countries such as the United States.
This new factory will employ more than 900 people directly, and will generate indirect jobs as well.
