Nuevo Leon could receive FDI of US$6 billion for this year

Nuevo Leon is recording an increase in FDI, mainly due to its high-quality skilled labor and favorable strategic location which leads specialists to forecast that the real estate and corporate sectors will grow in the State.

Sergio Arguelles Gonzalez, Finsa´s President, said that the industrial sector’s earnings will go up between 15% and 20% during the current fiscal year, in response to the dynamic behavior of the automotive, logistics and aerospace industries. Jose Maria Garza Trevino, Director of the Construction Company “Grupo Garza Ponce”, mentioned the noteworthy growth of the automotive industry, with the addition of the new Kia and Interpuerto Monterrey facilities. Juan Carlos Mier y Teran, Director of HSBC Corporate Banking, holds high hopes for the surge of activity in the real estate business triggered by upcoming investments in the industrial sector of Nuevo Leon, as well as factors such as the increased demand from the U.S. and competitive costs which boost the State´s economy, where the FDI is expected to reach US$6 billion at the end of 2015.
