Nuevo Leon exceeds FDI investment goal

Nuevo Leon’s Ministry of Economy and Labor (SEyT) informed that the FDI announced by companies from January through November 2016 was US$3.34 billion, with 14,988 new direct jobs created. These investment corresponds to 107 investment projects, in addition to the 282 which are already in the portfolio.

According to SEyT, the estimated goal to close the year was surpassed by US$340 million; 4,988 jobs, 57 announced projects and 41 in the portfolio. 50% of the FDI inflow comes from the U.S., 15% comes from South Korea and 6% comes from Germany and Spain. The municipalities which received the most investment were Apodaca, with 45%, Guadalupe with 16% and Escobedo with 8%.
