NUEVO LEON – The industrial sector of Nuevo Leon warned that the slowness of customs review in the U.S. border with Mexico puts at risk the Mexican supply to the northern country.

In a press conference, the president of Cámara de Industria de Transformación (Caintra), Adrián Sada Cueva, stated that if this problem continues, manufacturing will face a million pesos loss.

The executive stated that it is an issue that affects both countries since their supply chains work together, and one example of this could be the automotive supply chain.

“This not only affects Mexican companies, it affects American companies as well; said companies could be at risk of stopping operations, thus affecting Mexico’s supply chain” warned Sada Cueva.
