NUEVO LEON – Despite certain obstacles in recent months, the members of the construction sector of Nuevo León are confident that investment in the sector will increase in the following months.
The Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC) said that the value of construction production in the entity fell 8.16% in June compared to last May, linking two consecutive monthly falls. However, it presents an advance of 0.46% in relation to the sixth month of last year and 11.49% quarterly.
According to data from the National Institute of Statistics, Geography and Informatics (INEGI), in June both public and private investment declined, which generated the decline in state value.
“We hope that private companies have greater confidence and free up capital to continue contributing as they do with the sector in the entity,” said the agency.
