NUEVO LEON – On March 19, the Tourism Investment Forum will take place, with the aim of promoting the attraction of capital to the state of Nuevo León and taking advantage of the impact of nearshoring, as well as international events such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The event is being held as part of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the founding of the state of Nuevo León and has been defined as an opportunity to showcase the state as a place to invest and do business.
According to the organizers, the forum will be developed based on the Tourism Sector Program 2022-2027, focused on generating sustainable wealth, in this sense, the tourism sector is a fundamental part to diversify the tourism offer and permeate economic spillover in all regions of Nuevo Leon.
This event also seeks to create the opportunity for municipalities to have business appointments with entrepreneurs interested in investing in their localities, thus achieving economic development and the generation of new jobs.
The exhibitors’ area will include 15 municipalities with fiscal stimulus programs for investors; 8 suppliers from the health and wellness sector; 10 suppliers from the film and audiovisual sector; and 15 suppliers from the meeting tourism sector.
The Forum has other strategic allies such as UN Tourism, FIFA World Cup 2026 Monterrey, Association of Secretaries of Tourism of Mexico, Support Fund for the Creation and Consolidation of Employment FOCRECE.
Nacional Financiera NAFINSA, Fondo Nacional de Turismo FONATUR, Monterrey Convention and Visitors Bureau, Monterrey Tourism Cluster, Monterrey Interactive Media Cluster, Monterrey Technology Cluster, Mexican Association of Hotels and Motels, Airbnb, Viva Aerobús, Aeroméxico, Chamber of the Restaurant and Condiment Industry, Mexican Film Commission and National Chamber of the Film Industry.
The event is aimed at business investors, meeting planners, wholesale agencies, tour operators, film producers and specialized media. Admission to the event will begin at 9:00 a.m. and is free of charge.
