NUEVO LEON – The Government of Nuevo León presented its candidacy to host the Tianguis Turístico 2024, the most important activity of the sector in Mexico.
The Secretary of Tourism, Maricarmen Martínez Villarreal, informed that the state has excellent air connectivity, first class infrastructure and a wide range of hotels to host the event.
“Nuevo León is a state of progress, with tangible gastronomy and culture, natural and urban scenery worthy of a visit, in addition to being the leader in meeting tourism in Mexico,” said Martínez Villarreal.
The official pointed out that the economic spillover that Tianguis Turístico 2024 could mean for the entity is around 800 million pesos.
“It is a direct economic benefit of 650 million pesos that benefited the entire hotel chain, the restaurant chain, the airline chain, the airport, cab services, and obviously the indirect benefit is more than 800 million pesos that could mean an economic benefit for our state,” said Martinez Villarreal.
The Secretary of Tourism said that Nuevo Leon will compete to host the Tianguis Turístico 2024 with the states of Sonora, Baja California and Nayarit.
