Nuevo León Teachers Receive Semiconductor Training

A total of 58 teachers from public and private secondary and higher education institutions in Nuevo León completed the ATP Semiconductor Training Program, a course designed to strengthen academic and technical training in engineering fields, particularly in the semiconductor industry.

The closing ceremony took place at the Raúl Rangel Frías University Library and brought together academic and educational authorities from various institutions. Among those in attendance were the rectors of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL) and the University of Monterrey (UDEM), as well as representatives from the Tecnológico de Monterrey and the Iberoamerican Technology Foundation (Iberotech), the organization responsible for delivering the program.

The 23-week course included the participation of engineering faculty from various institutions, including the DGETI (National Institute of Technology), CECYTE (Central American University of Technology), CONALEP (National Council of Education), Universidad Ciudadana (Citizen University), the Polytechnic and Technological Universities of Apodaca, García, Escobedo, Santa Catarina, and Cadereyta, the Franco-Mexican University, and the National Institute of Technology of Mexico, Linares Campus.

According to the organizers, the training seeks to update and strengthen faculty members’ technical skills to align them with the demands of the semiconductor industry, which is considered strategic for the local economy and the development of specialized talent in the region. The program also aims to consolidate Nuevo León’s presence as an academic and productive hub with international relevance.

During the ceremony, the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and specialized training programs such as this one was highlighted. These programs allow faculty to keep up with technological advances and improve student training in areas critical to the state’s industrial and technological development.

The program represents an opportunity for teachers to acquire certifications and knowledge that can be applied directly in their classrooms, contributing to the development of future professionals with profiles aligned with the needs of the labor market.
