NUEVO LEON – The 2024 China International Logistics and Transportation Fair (CILF) will be held in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, in a bid to boost the region’s and the country’s supply chains.
The fair is the world’s largest logistics and supply chain structure. Samuel García, governor of Nuevo León, said a meeting was held to fine-tune the details of the event.
“In 2024 we will host the CILF Fair in Monterrey, a world-class event, at the level of Nuevo Leon. The state is unstoppable and in China they know it, that is why we will host this world-class fair that in its 2023 edition brought together 2 thousand companies from 40 countries from different parts of the planet,” said García Sepúlveda.
The meeting was attended by Jesús Seade Kuri, Mexican Ambassador to China; Iván Rivas Rodríguez, State Secretary of Economy; Roberto Abraham Vargas Molina, General Director of Sistema de Transporte Colectivo Metrorrey; Emmanuel Loo, Undersecretary of Investment; Raúl Cantú de la Garza, Municipal President of Salinas Victoria, as well as Zhi Li, President of Shenzhen Logistics and Supply Chain Association and president of China (Shenzhen) International Logistics and Supply Chain Fair; Tony Liu, vice president of USMCA Supply Chain Association, president of Mexico China Products and Industries offshoring and Matchmaking Fair and manager of China (Shenzhen) International Logistics and Supply Chain Fair, among other guests.
By 2024, more than 10,000 exhibitors and more than 200,000 domestic and international professional visitors are expected at the event. The fair has been held for 17 years and has become an important activity for the development of the modern logistics and supply chain industry.
With dates for the event yet to be defined, CILF 2024 comes at a time when Nuevo León presents a large foreign direct investment that exceeds 37 billion dollars, in which it also consolidates itself as the industrial capital of Mexico, the economic engine of the country and the new hub of technology, electromobility and industry of the future.
