The plant Össur inaugurated a new area in the Tijuana plant, to produce components to manufacture active prostheses for leg replacement, with investment surpassing US$8 million for robotics equipment and high-tech machines for plastic injection molding.
The plant Össur inaugurated a new area in the Tijuana plant, to produce components to manufacture active prostheses for leg replacement, with investment surpassing US$8 million for robotics equipment and high-tech machines for plastic injection molding. Eduardo Salcedo, Director of Operations, specified that with this, the factory will produce legs, from knees, ankle, thigh bone and complete foot. He comments that this plant started operations with 25 staff members and it currently has 500, expecting to offer over 800 positions during 2017.
