Panasonic invests on fan factory in Tijuana

Panasonic just disclosed the opening of its new factory in Tijuana, Baja California, called Panasonic Ecology Systems Mexico (PESESMX), a plant of Panasonic Ecology Systems America (PESESA), division of Panasonic Corporation of North America, to manufacture ventilator fans to address the U.S. and Canada markets.

A US$8.8 million investment was approved for 2016 and US$14 million for 2017. The factory is bound to start production this upcoming month of October. 1.3 million units per year will be produced by 2018, according to an estimate by the factory’s directors.
