Peñoles to invest in Coahuila to enter the wind energy sector

Fernando Alanis Ortega, General Director of Peñoles Industries, announced that they will make two investments for a total of US$733 million to enter the wind energy generation.

US$350.5 million will be invested in the Torreon’s plant to increase zinc production, from 240,000 to 360,000 tons, between 2015 and 2018. Meanwhile, US$382.5 million will be allocated for the construction of a wind power plant in the Municipality of General Cepeda, which will start operations by the end of 2016.
