Polymershapes has expanded its operations in Chihuahua as part of a strategic move to strengthen the distribution of high-performance plastics and support growing demand from key industrial sectors in northern Mexico.
The expansion, located within the Saucito Industrial Park, increases the company’s storage capacity, enhances operational infrastructure, and reduces delivery times for customers across the region. This upgrade is designed to improve service efficiency and bring supply chains closer to industries requiring specialized plastic materials.
Company executives emphasized that the project represents a shift toward a more advanced manufacturing model, moving beyond logistics to incorporate higher-value industrial transformation processes. This evolution responds to global trends such as nearshoring, tariff pressures, and the need for greater proximity to customers.
Polymershapes’ portfolio includes more than 20,000 products, ranging from engineering plastics to high-performance polymers used in critical applications, including aerospace components. The expanded facility is expected to strengthen the company’s role as a key supplier for industries such as aerospace, automotive, construction, mining, and graphic communications.
Executives highlighted Mexico as a priority market, with Chihuahua playing a central role in the company’s long-term growth strategy due to its strong industrial base and integration into global supply chains. The new hub will also reinforce the firm’s capabilities in sectors that require strict technical standards, supported by international certifications.
The expansion is expected to generate specialized jobs, enhance regional competitiveness, and position Chihuahua as a strategic node in North America’s evolving manufacturing landscape.
