Port of Mazatlan to receive Nissan’s imported cars

Alfonso Gil Diaz, General Director of Mazatlan’s Port Authority (API), reported that Nissan will arrive to the port of Mazatlan, Sinaloa to import cars starting in September 2015, having a first shipment of about 2,000 cars. Ferromex will then transport these imported cars to Nissan’s assembly plant in Aguascalientes

, from where they will be distributed to the final delivery point. 3,000 vehicles will be imported monthly during six months. From this point on, the export of these vehicles could continue. The port of Mazatlan hadn’t had a participation in the finished cars market during the last five years.
