The Ministry of Economy of Tamaulipas presented in Altamira the program ‘Tamaulipas Exporta’, an initiative that seeks to open international markets to companies in the state and strengthen their export capacity.
The event was held at the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Tamaulipas (IEST Anáhuac) and was attended by government representatives and business leaders from the region.
Among the attendees were the Secretary of Economy, Ninfa Cantú Deándar; the Mayor of Tampico, Mónica Villarreal; and the Mayor of Ciudad Madero, Erasmo González.
During her speech, Cantú Deándar emphasized the importance of integrating small and medium-sized companies into foreign trade, highlighting the logistical advantages of Tamaulipas within the national and international market.
The Secretary pointed out that the state government maintains a dialogue with the business sector to strengthen the region’s competitiveness. She also acknowledged the joint work with the municipalities of southern Tamaulipas in promoting local economic development.
Also, during the presentation, the programs ‘Made in Tamaulipas’, which offers services and support for the development of micro, small and medium-sized companies, and ‘Fondo Tamaulipas’, a financing scheme with accessible rates to strengthen businesses and promote the generation of employment, were presented. In addition, an analysis of the state’s economy in the North American commercial context was provided.
