EL PASO, TX – The company PROD Design and Analysis, in coordination with the El Paso City Council announced the expansion of the design engineering firm based in the border city, which will further enable regional growth in the aerospace and defense sectors.
The City Council approved a US$188,774 incentive agreement intended to help support PROD’s US$4.4 million expansion project.
The company plans to build a 30,000 square foot expansion to its existing building located on Peter Cooper Drive. As part of the performance-based agreement, the company will also retain 110 jobs and create an additional 48 full-time jobs, primarily in engineering at an average wage of approximately US$27 per hour.
“This is another great partnership that further advances the city’s strategy to grow existing industries and attract new target industries, including advanced manufacturing and international development to create an innovation-driven technology culture that promotes economic growth,” said Mayor Oscar Leeser.
Having started in 2004, PROD focuses on innovative engineering solutions and has demonstrated successful implementation of industrial automation to achieve its clients’ desired metrics.
