Baja California stopped competing against Queretaro in investment from the aerospace sector, besides, it has lost its top position to Chihuahua, which has the second spot nationally.
According to figures from the National Records of Foreign Investment (RNIE) from the Ministry of Economy, Queretaro accumulates 1,056 million in the manufacturing industry of Aerospace equipment division, from 1999 up to the first semester of 2016; Chihuahua made it to the second spot with US$345.6 million; Baja California had a US$303.3 million add-up, and Sonora got the fourth position with US$186.3 million.
