Reynosa obtains new record in job creation

Job creation in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, by IMMEX (Mexican Export Maquiladora and Manufacturing Industry) businesses, hit a new historical record this past March, according to data from Mexico’s National Institute of Statistics, Geography and Informatics (INEGI).

The monthly IMMEX business survey reports that 101,861 jobs were registered in Reynosa city, which stands for 1,593 more job openings, compared to the month of February. INEGI disclosed that 148 IMMEX companies were operating in Reynosa, and 354 in Tamaulipas during March, giving the State the 5° place in IMMEX job creation in Mexico. There were 209,489 total jobs recorded; the number of jobs related to IMMEX business in Mexico grew by 0.1%, peaking at 2,390,801 workers, according to INEGI reports.
