REYNOSA – Four supermarkets of the company “S-mart” plan to expand its locations in Reynosa, Tamaulipas as part of an investment project to be developed this year.

According to Reynosa’s Minister of Economic Development, Tourism and Trade, Leonel Cantú Robles, the negotiations have already been confirmed but the investment amounts have not yet been revealed.

“We are talking about a great economic spill that will come to reactivate many areas of employment and stability in this city, we have not evaluated how much they will spend on buying land, adequate spaces and everything that these projects imply,” said Cantú Robles.

In addition to the Smart Company, the expansion of the “Bodega Aurrera” chain was confirmed at the end of 2018. It contemplates an investment of at least US$10.4 million in Tamaulipas to build 20 new stores, 8 of them located in Reynosa.
