Samsung Company has decided to establish a development center of digital content in the State of Baja California, specifically in the Municipality of Tijuana, with an investment of US$17 million, in order to strengthen the current pilot program of software development and creative contents.
The center where the pilot program is carried out is known as Samsung Research Tijuana and represents a business unit additional to the televisions fabrication. Francisco Vega, State Governor highlighted that this project will give an important exposure to Baja California in the field of the information and software technologies and reiterated that they will arrange alliances with various universities aiming to support the plan of training more software engineers.
