CHIHUAHUA – The Ministry of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE) of Chihuahua has boosted the growth of 13,934 Chihuahua companies through training programs, national and international promotion, financing, subsidies and advisory services.
In 2023, more than 8,000 micro, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs received support, which translates into the generation of 19,397 new jobs.
The Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Business Development of the SIDE implemented initiatives such as the reactivation of the Rapid Business Opening System (SARE) offices in four municipalities of the state: Nuevo Casas Grandes, Ojinaga, Meoqui and Camargo.
These offices have served 81,000 users, which has facilitated the opening of 7,500 new businesses and the generation of 10,400 jobs.
In addition, 27 Chihuahua companies participated in international meetings and fairs to promote foreign trade, with an economic benefit of 110 million pesos.
SIDE’s Director of Entrepreneurship and Business Development, Jesús García, invited Chihuahua’s entrepreneurs, businessmen and producers to participate in the agency’s current calls for proposals and programs.
These include the Chihuahua Emprende Award, the ANTAD Expo, trademark registration with the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), and obtaining the Chihuahua Market logo, among others.
In 2023, the State Council for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship was also established, as well as the Entrepreneurship Networks in the different regions of the state. The Entrepreneurship Caravans, the Innovatión Week and the Business Incubation Program were carried out to consolidate and promote the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the state.
The State Trust for Productive Activities of the State of Chihuahua (Fideapech) granted 744 million pesos in loans to 566 companies in 22 municipalities in the state, which contributed to the creation and retention of 7,850 jobs.
