Siemens expands in Juarez

JUAREZ, CHIH – With an investment of US$19.5 million, the ITESA 4 Siemens plant was inaugurated in
Ciudad Juarez. The expansion will generate 265 jobs and significant opportunities, and will also

will be destined for the U.S. apartment market.

During the inauguration of the new facilities, the Secretary of Innovation and Economic
Development, Manque Granados Trespalacios, highlighted that this investment in its four
phases, generates a positive impact in the electrical-electronic field.

that the industry sector responds to the challenge of employment generation in the entity, thus
strengthening the productive structure.

“The moment has been seized to generate value in each investment that is consolidated,
stimulating technological development, as well as the incorporation of local companies in
productive processes of greater value,” he added.

The Municipal President, Perez Cuellar said that the industry has reached a place at national
and international level thanks to its people, based on which it is impossible to see the economy
of Juarez, without the industry, that is why he thanked SIEMENS for betting on the people of
this border.

a deep-rooted presence in this border and its people, who are the most important engine of
this city. The mayor pointed out that there are many projects in the city and although not all of
them have materialized, there are Taiwanese and even Indian companies looking to set up in
this area of the state.
