EL PASO, TX – Startup Chihuahua and the Hunt Center for Entrepreneurship at New Mexico State University (NMSU) successfully held the “Investment Immersion” event, which took place July 11-13 in the cities of El Paso, Texas and Las Cruces, New Mexico.
The event aimed to strengthen the investment ecosystem in the region of Chihuahua, Ciudad Juárez, El Paso and New Mexico by providing a platform for participants to network, share ideas and explore investment opportunities.
For three days, entrepreneurs, investors and investment funds came together to foster connections and gain knowledge about angel investing in the cross-border region known as the Borderplex.
“This event not only provided a space to learn about angel investing, but also created a network of connections of people committed to economic growth and innovation in our region,” noted Carlos Murguía, director of the Hunt Center for Entrepreneurship.
After the event, it is expected to continue sharing with the community events, portfolio of investable startups in the region and above all to strengthen the economic development community between these cities that represent an important part of the U.S.-Mexico border.
Finally, with this type of events, the Municipal Government of Chihuahua continues to join efforts with the State Government, as well as with civil society and academia, to promote innovation and economic development in the region.
