There is a boosting proposal for the film industry in Nuevo León

NUEVO LEON – With the intention of promoting film productions in the entity, the local deputy of the Social Encounter Party (PES), Juan Carlos Leal, proposed the creating of the Law of Promotion and Development of the Film Industry and Audition of the State of Nuevo León.

The deputy said that this proposal is intended to promote employment in the entity, through the generation of material from the film industry.

“Today, not only widespread television, but also specialized media, such as cable and pay-per-view television and direct reproduction media, have radically modified the market for film products,” said Leal.

The deputy added that he considers it necessary to create legislation applicable to the promotion of the film industry in the state, in order to contribute to overcoming the lag that it faces and propitiate its correct promotion.

Leal commented that if it is approved by the local Congress, cinema will be incorporated into the most modern audiovisual spectrum, expanding the possibilities of citizens’ expression, promoting the activity of the creators, and establishing links with other media.
