Tacna Corporation, dedicated to promote investment in Baja California, estimates that roughly 15 companies will invest in Tijuana this year. The estimated US$100 million investment shall result in the creation of at least 1,000 jobs. Another one of the reasons that has made Tijuana an investment destination, is the peso-dollar exchange rate, with foreign companies have larger amounts to invest as the Mexican currency depreciates compared to the U.S. currency.
