A new Strategic Bonded Facility (RFE) was officially inaugurated at the Frasa Industrial Park, a project designed to streamline foreign trade operations and significantly enhance the competitiveness of companies in the region.
The unveiling ceremony brought together key business leaders and government officials from the municipal, state, and federal levels. Prominent attendees included the Governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, and the Mayor of Tijuana, Ismael Burgueño Ruiz.
As detailed in presentations at the event, the facility will enable the introduction, storage, processing, repair, and distribution of goods under a strategic customs regime. This framework offers substantial tax and logistical advantages, positioning the RFE as a highly attractive hub for both domestic and foreign enterprises.
State authorities highlighted that the RFE is a key addition to ongoing initiatives aimed at solidifying Tijuana’s status as a premier manufacturing and logistics hub on the northern border. They emphasized that the infrastructure provides a secure, flexible, and transparent framework for international trade operations.
The project is the result of a private business initiative led by Carlos Bustamante Anchondo and Raymundo Arnaiz, who combined sector expertise and investment to bring the facility to fruition.
With this strategic implementation, Tijuana aims to consolidate its position as a vital binational platform, poised to attract new investment and fortify its indispensable role in the global supply chain.
